Hello Faithful Aquacade Readers ,

The Time has come.
This is the last Aquacade post ever.

We will be tweaking the site slightly - so it becomes more of a Archive site than a website that is still getting updated.

Even though we will not be posting anymore news posts, you can still reply to old ones and hold lil' conversations/forums in the comments box.

We aren't gonna leave you with no news what so ever ,though, so we've rounded up the following news to celebrate our final post ...

Kristin Chenoweth will be rather busy in the upcoming months with a place as a guest judge on American Idol (http://www.google.com/hostednews/ukpress/article/ALeqM5j-YDLku8XxF7obX8z8QfF6sjKTyA) and also being The Host of The Critics Choice Awards (http://www.theatermania.com/new-york/news/12-2009/kristin-chenoweth-to-host-critics-choice-awards_23542.html.)

In other Kristin Chenoweth news , her episode of Glee premieres in the UK on the 1st February on channel E4. It is repeated on Sunday the 7th February @ 5:30pm on Channel 4. She plays April Rhodes , the title character in the episode 'The Rhodes Not Taken' !

Petitions - There have been many. But few actually make a difference. Their has been the Bring Back Pushing Daisies petition that 80,000,000 people signed. Over 500 have singed a petition for a Daisies Movie and countless Pies , Daisies and letters have been sent to the ABC (Network Daisies aired on and also the channel that killed the show.)
But is it actually worth getting involved in ?

Last night , The Golden Episode dramatically ended with Season 1 episode PIGEON winning the competition by only one vote!

6 Parts , 3 Rounds , 5 Weeks and 35 Votes later PIGEON has been crowned the ultimate Pushing Daisies Episode. Here's a little look at the Episode ...

THE GOLDEN EPISODE

Season 1 , Episode 4 , entitled Pigeon , was first broadcast on Wednesday the 24TH October 2007 at 8pm on ABC. The Episode stared Lee Pace and Anna Friel along with Guest Stars Jayma Mays (Glee) as Elsita/Elsa and Dash Milhok (The Day After Tomorrow) as Lefty Lem.

The story was Directed by Adam Kane and Written by Rina Mimoun.
The Main plot was based on a pigeon crashing into The Pie Hole window. The events that follow are rather spectacular , but we don't want to spoil it for you if you have not seen this episode (and if not - why ? It's the best PD Episode for Pete's sake ! Buy it along with the rest of season one in a physical copy or on iTunes separately.)

Bryan Fuller has recently said this about the up-coming 12 part comic series to start hitting the shops in early 2010:

"The dangling threads from the series with Chuck's father and Ned's father and the pocket watches are all dealt with, not secondarily, but there's a whole new story that happens when there is a flash flood in the cemetery and all the bodies wash past Ned's and it's Ned versus a thousand corpses. That's the story of the comic book."

So , all that said will it be worth the wait , and will you be buying the issues ?

George of the Jungle !
On the 15th of November 2009 , George Hamilton (also known as Ned's Father) started appearing on the British version of I'm' a Celebrity ....Get Me out of here!
It is airing on ITV1 (The same channel that showed Daisies months back...) every night at the (usual) time of 9pm - But don't quote us on it !!!
He is called a 'Hollywood Legend' on the show and has survived 2 public vote offs.
The other celebs have named him as 'The Life and Soul of the Party'.
On one episode the contestants had to sit in a boat and guess when a hour had passed.
Most contestants counted and George sat there and sung a song.
He won the challenge after guessing it being a hour with the guess of 59minutes and 58seconds !
He wasn't even counting and the contestants that were counting missed the target of a hour , by minutes !
He's also second to win in the bookies eyes to (just behind Gino D'Campo- q Italian chef camp mate.) Below is a picture of him talking to friend Stuart Manning of Hollyoaks fame in the jungle.

'The Golden Episode'. Basically , in a nutshell , before Aquacade closes down we will be reuniting all Daisies fans one last time , so we can find ... The Golden Episode.

Basically each week there will be choices (eg. Corpcicle , Pie-lette , Bad Habits and Frescorts) and you have to pick out of those episodes your favourite.

Then when it has been narrowed down hugely to under ten , we shall have a semi finals followed by the final.

This is the last chance to show your appreciation for a show that once was.

Lines open on the first of November and the final will be on the 20th December.

To start us of I have the announcement that Emerson Cod aka. Chi McBride won the 'Best Male of Pushing Daisies' award in our weekly poll. He beat Lee Pace , Field Cate and Jim Dale to the title , they are also known as Magic Ned , Young Magic Ned and the guy with the big voice (The Narrator).

Bored now Daisies is no longer on ABC or ITV1?
So is Emerson Cod ...

but he does have his trusty Gum Shoe book to keep him going ... and there's always the knitting ...

Meanwhile , Den of Geek , have uploaded a rather cool-ish look at the Designs and Sets of Pushing Daisies :

As announced in the title, Olive Snook has claimed the trophy of 'Best Female in Pushing Daisies' , In our weekly poll.

Chuck , Played by Anna Friel received second place.

Yeah that's right , our very own Anna Friel and funny man Will Ferrell team up on this hilarious one off adventure , just in time for the summer !

The movie has been premiering on screens all over the UK today, and we all hope that numbers go well for Miss Friel , unlike America , where it didn't do too well. Let's try and make it beat those Gizmo Guinea Pigs from G Force !

Still this Adventure looks like one too embrace.

Hi and Welcome to the very first news post of Aquacade.

A Few weeks back Bryan Fuller was interviewed by the folk at thetorchonline.com and was puzzled with the question 'What would have happened if Daisies wasn't cancelled ?'.
He replied briefly describing Chuck , Ned and the rest of the characters futures.

''I was excited about shifting the dynamics around with those characters. What would happen when Lily had to move in with Chuck because Vivian kicked her out. The plan was to keep Wendie Malick, who played Cora, Vivian and Lily’s AquaDarling rival, on as a reoccurring character for the rest of the second season.''

He also stated that the movie was most unlikely and that the 12 part comic book series shall be finished production by the end of the year...

''I think because the show wasn’t a huge hit, the movie is sadly unlikely. I think it’s a great film franchise, but good luck getting anybody to do any kind of movie these days, much less something from a failed television show. ''

''Right now, I’m outlining the comic, the first issue. I’m going through and breaking it out. We’ve got the comic series arc all shaped, and now I just need to go into the individual episodes and break them out in terms of box by box in the comic book. Then we’ll have that out by the end of the year.''

Welcome to The Aquacade , fansite for Pushing Daisies fans all over the world from UK to USA , and everywhere else !

In the coming months we hope to bring you exclusive news about Pushing Daisies (The Short Lived ABC series) and it's soon to be Comic Books. We will also follow the work of people involved in PD's such as Bryan Fuller (Executive Producer , Writer , Creator) and Lee Pace (who plays Ned). As well as this news page , we will have a interactive 'Dive into the Waters of The Aquacade' with pictures used from the TV Episode Kerplunk about all the headliners including 'Night of a thousand Bubbles' and if this site goes well , we might just have a spin-off site in the works *smiles*.

And for any new fans , don't feel threatened that we will leak some big plot developments , such as .... (I'm Joking !) ... and That 'I'm Joking' isn't a plot development - or at least not to my knowledge !

In the month of August we will start to add new content , so keep your eyes wide open for that !
